A necessity if you plan on using this radio for EMCOMM applications. Keep your batteries charged while while using AA batteries to feed your radio.

I have always tried to buy an alkaline battery case as a backup for my handhelds. Never know when I am out somewhere and need an emergency backup and no charge system available.
Great back-up using AA batteries!

I carry spare batteries when out in the field for extended periods and this allows me to use AA batteries when I cannot get back to recharge my regular batteries.

I bought this case to use with my kg-uv8d radio to use in my go bag if I need it. Its looks like it made of good material, and should last good.

So far the AA battery pack for the Wouxun KG-UV8D haw worked perfectly. I was originally told that there were no such packs available for this model HT (from another source, of course). They were wrong and I'm extremely happy with this product.
