U16904 Used MFJ-949E Deluxe Versa Tuner II Antenna Tuner

This MFJ-949E is in good used condition. It has a few scratches, mostly noticeable on the top of the unit (see photos). The front of the tuner is very clean. Plastic over the meter looks good. Tuner functions as expected. Text looks good, knobs spin well, and connections are sturdy. It does not include any additional cables. Comes within the original box.

MFJ-949E Deluxe Versa Tuner II Antenna Tuners are 300 watt RF output power antenna tuners that will match any transmitter or transceiver to virtually any antenna.

Peak or average forward and reflected power and SWR can be read on the illuminated cross-needle meter. The wattmeter has an internal lamp that backlights the meter; however the lamp circuit requires power from an external nominal 12 V DC source. The rear panel jack accepts a 2.5 mm coaxial plug with a positive center pin polarity.

MFJ 949E Deluxe Versa Tuner II Tuners use a "T" matching network and cover all bands between 160 and 10 meters. This network will tune dipoles, inverted Vs, verticals, mobile whips, beams, random wires, and many other antennas.

MFJ 949E tuners have rear panel connectors for coaxial, single wire or two wire feedlines. A built-in 4:1 balun allows the use of balanced open wire, twin-lead, or twin-axial feedlines. An internal eight position antenna-selector switch selects a built-in 50 ohm dummy load, two separate coaxial line outputs, or a single wire line-balanced line output. All of these functions can be selected in tuned (with tuner's "T" network in line) or bypassed (no tuning circuit) configurations.
