UU16887 Used Heathkit SB-1000 Linear Amplifier 900-1KW  Single 3-500Z Tube

This amplifier is in great shape. It contains a few scratches on the bottom and back, but is otherwise in great cosmetic shape. The text on the front is clear and easy to read. Meters are in good shape as well, and the rear connections are in good condition too. The amplifier is wired for 220V outlet. This is a single 3-500Z tube amp. It is the same as an ameritron AL-80A. This amp works great and comes with the manual, but no other accessories. Does not come in the original box.

When tested we are getting 900-1000 watts on all bands into a dummy load with a Daiwa meter

The Heathkit Model SB-1000 Linear Amplifier is a completely self-contains, grounded grid, linear amplifier. It is designed to operate at 1000 watts PEP output  on SSB or 850 watts output on CW. The amplifier is designed to be used with exciters which deliver 100 watts or more output. It can be used with less driving power, but will have a lower output. A broad-band, tuned-input circuit for each band feeds the 3-500z triode tube that is connected in a grounded-grid configuration.
