Received from Maintrading Company quickly. Very easy to set up. Just put in my zip code and I was off listening to police calls. Put my zone in as a priority. Great portable scanner!!!

  2. Reall nice scanner 5 Star Review

This is a very nice scanner. I had it up and running with local frequencies in about 5 minutes. It is quite a feature filled unit with many digital options. I was able to update to NXDN very quickly. The unit itself walks you through the steps to set up the basic operation such as time and date and local settings by county. The software is a free download from the Whistler site.If you have any experience programming radios you will find the software intuitive. The ability to use the Radio Reference database is great,no more adding frequencies bit by bit.

  3. Very Impressive 5 Star Review

I ordered the Whistler TRX-1 because many of the agencies that I used to listen to had switched to the NXDN format and a few had switched to the DMR format. I have always had Uniden Scanners and I had some reservations buying the TRX-1. All my reservations were quickly erased after a few days of using the TRX-1. It picks up the NXDN format with no issues and it sounds good. Programming is also easier. Recommend to all.
